Walking Adventure (“the App”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and your rights when using the app.
1. Eligibility
Walking Adventure is not intended for children under 13 years of age.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account & Authentication Data
We use Firebase Authentication to manage accounts.
We may collect:
- Anonymous Firebase User ID (generated automatically)
- Google account email (only if you sign in with Google)
- Authentication provider
- Account metadata (creation time, last login)
Anonymous accounts may be used indefinitely, but signing in is required for:
- Spending Story Coins
- Subscription validation
- Cross-device syncing
2.2 App Progress & Gameplay Data
Stored securely in Firebase Firestore:
- Premium subscription status (
premium,expiryTime) - Highest level reached
- Story progress and unlocked content
- Activity intervals used for gameplay progression
- Achievement history
- Story unlock transaction records
- Notification token (for reminders)
- Last sync timestamp
- Optional story ratings
This data is tied only to your Firebase User ID and does not directly identify you.
2.3 Health & Activity Data (Health Connect)
With your permission, Walking Adventure reads activity data from Android Health Connect.
Data accessed:
- Steps
- Exercise/activity sessions
How it is used:
- To unlock story progress
- To award achievements
- To calculate activity summaries
Important:
- Raw step history is not stored remotely
- Only activity summaries (time intervals and totals) are stored
- Health data is not sold
- Health data is not used for advertising
- Health data is not shared with advertisers
Some summarized activity metrics are sent to analytics for gameplay improvement.
You may revoke Health permissions at any time in Android Settings.
2.4 Purchases & Subscription Data
If you subscribe:
- Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing
- Payment details (credit cards) are never stored by us
- Subscription status is verified securely via server validation
- Premium entitlement and expiry time are stored in Firebase
Premium status may be cached locally for offline use.
2.5 Analytics & Usage Data
We use analytics to improve the app.
Collected data may include:
- Firebase User ID
- Email (for signed-in users)
- Platform and authentication provider
- Feature usage and gameplay metrics
Analytics providers:
- Firebase Analytics (Google)
- Amplitude Analytics
We do not sell data and do not share data with advertisers.
2.6 Notifications
If enabled, the app may send:
- Daily reminders
- Achievement notifications
These use a Firebase Cloud Messaging token associated with your account.
2.7 Technical & Diagnostic Data
We may collect limited technical information:
- App version
- Device OS version
- Basic performance data
Used only to improve reliability.
2.8 Shared Content & Local Files
If you use sharing features:
- The app may generate temporary images for sharing progress
- These are stored locally and shared only when you choose
- Story files and audio may be cached locally for performance

We use data to:
- Operate core gameplay
- Sync progress across devices
- Validate subscriptions
- Prevent fraud or cheating
- Deliver notifications
- Improve app features and stability

We do not sell personal data.
4. Data Sharing
We share data only with essential services required to run the app:

5. Data Retention
- Data is kept while your account exists
- Anonymous data may be deleted after long inactivity
- You may request deletion at any time
- No data is intentionally retained after account deletion
6. Account & Data Deletion
You may delete your account inside the app:
Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account
Deletion removes:
- Firebase Authentication account
- All stored progress and gameplay data
- Subscription linkage
- Notification tokens
- Local stored data
- Analytics history (via analytics deletion request)
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
7. Permissions Used
Walking Adventure may request:
- Health & Activity — To read step and activity data for gameplay
- Background Health Access — To update progress periodically
- Notifications — For reminders and achievements
- Internet — For syncing and subscription validation
Permissions are used only for their intended purpose.
8. Security
We use industry-standard protections:
- Secure HTTPS communication
- Firebase Authentication security
- Server-validated subscriptions
- Play Integrity / App Check protection
- Transaction-based coin validation to prevent abuse
However, no system is 100% secure.
9. Advertising
Walking Adventure:
- Does not show ads
- Does not use ad SDKs
- Does not sell user data
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically.
Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date.
