These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Walking Adventure mobile application (the “App”, “Service”, “we”, “us”). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

Walking Adventure is intended for users 13 years of age or older.

By using the App, you confirm:

  • You are at least 13 years old
  • You are legally allowed to use this service in your jurisdiction

The App is not directed at children under 13.

2. Account & Access

The App uses Firebase Authentication and may create an anonymous account automatically.

You may optionally sign in using Google to:

  • Sync progress across devices
  • Spend Story Coins
  • Restore purchases and subscriptions

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

3. License to Use the App

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial use.

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer or modify the App
  • Attempt to bypass gameplay, coin, or subscription systems
  • Use automation, bots, or exploits
  • Interfere with servers or infrastructure
  • Use the App for unlawful purposes

We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

4. Subscriptions & Purchases

Walking Adventure offers:

  • Monthly subscription (“Premium”)
  • In-app progression unlocks using virtual Story Coins

Billing

  • Payments are processed by Google Play Billing
  • We do not store payment or credit card data
  • Subscription automatically renews unless canceled in Google Play
  • Pricing may vary by region

Cancellation

You may cancel anytime via Google Play.
Access continues until the end of the billing period.

Refunds

All refunds are handled by Google Play, according to their policies.

5. Story Coins (Virtual Currency)

Story Coins are virtual and:

  • Have no real-world monetary value
  • Cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged
  • Cannot be redeemed for cash

We may modify, rebalance, or remove virtual currency systems at any time.

Attempting to exploit or manipulate the coin system may result in account termination.

6. Health & Activity Data Disclaimer

Walking Adventure uses step and activity data to power gameplay.

The App:

  • Is not a medical device
  • Does not provide medical advice
  • Does not guarantee health or fitness outcomes

Always consult a qualified professional for health concerns.

Use of activity tracking is at your own risk.

7. Data & Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains:

  • What data is collected
  • How it is used
  • How to delete your account
  • Your privacy rights

8. Account Deletion

You may delete your account inside the App:

Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account

Deletion permanently removes:

  • Account and authentication data
  • Progress and gameplay data
  • Subscription linkage
  • Stored identifiers

Deletion cannot be undone.

9. Service Availability

We strive to keep the App available but do not guarantee:

  • Continuous uptime
  • Error-free operation
  • Permanent availability of features

We may modify or discontinue features at any time.

10. Updates & Changes

We may update:

  • The App
  • Gameplay systems
  • Subscriptions or pricing
  • These Terms

Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Walking Adventure is provided “as is” without warranties.

We are not liable for:

  • Data loss
  • Health outcomes
  • Service interruptions
  • Indirect or consequential damages

Your use of the App is at your own risk.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Attempt fraud or abuse
  • Exploit gameplay systems
  • Interfere with the service

You may stop using the App at any time.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles.
