Introducing Little Isles: your steps can now build island towns
The Games tab is growing. Next to Sunny Acres you’ll now find Little Isles, a puzzle game about building small towns on faraway islands.
Every island is an empty patch of land waiting for a town, and you decide what goes where. Each building scores points from its neighbors, so the fun is in finding the layout where everything fits. Get it right, earn the stars, and sail on to the next island.
How it works
Buildings are paid for in steps. Pick one from your tray and tap a spot to see the points it would earn there, and what it does to the buildings around it. Happy with it? Tap Build.
Every building has its own likes and dislikes. A Bakery earns points for each House next to it, but doesn’t want another Bakery close by. A Mill likes Wheat beside it and a Bakery nearby. A Fishing Hut has to stand by the water.
Moving a building is free, so try as many spots as you like until the points add up. Points earn stars: bronze, silver and gold on every island. One star opens the next island, and the other two are there to chase whenever you like.
Your steps come from the same step wallet as Sunny Acres. Go for a walk, open the Games tab, tap Bank, and the steps you’ve walked today are ready to spend in any game.
Games unlock at level 2.
What’s waiting on the islands
- 5 archipelagos with 40 islands to build on: the Meadow Isles, Ember Isles, Frost Isles, Coral Isles and Autumn Woods. Each archipelago opens as your star total grows.
- 25 kinds of building, from Houses, Bakeries and Gardens to Lighthouses, Pearl Divers, Treehouses and the Castle (only one allowed per island).
- A new twist in each archipelago after the first. Lava vents cost nearby Houses points, Houses in the frost lose points without a Hearth close by, a sea breeze rewards Houses by the water, and in the Autumn Woods Houses love the forest around them.
- A Challenge isle at the end of each archipelago, opened once every island there has a star. The buildings come in a set order and nothing can be moved, so every piece counts. Restarting is free, and winning earns a bonus star.
- Easy, Medium and Hard labels on every island except the Challenge isles, so you know what you’re sailing into.
- A new outfit for your builder in every archipelago.
35 new badges
Little Isles comes with 35 achievements of its own, from First Star and Castle Builder to Starry Sky and Long Reign. You’ll find them in the Games tab of your achievements, next to the Sunny Acres badges.
A little extra for subscribers
As in Sunny Acres, subscribers’ steps bank automatically. Little Isles adds two more extras. Wardrobe lets your builder wear any outfit you’ve reached, on any island. Solution Hint shows how many of each building a three-star layout uses on an island, but never where they go. You buy it with steps, once per island. Every island can be won without them.
